A video of a young Chinese girl playing the piano is about to change your life.

"Souvenir D'enfance" by Richard Clayderman is an intermediate level's piano sheet music.
The girl played beautifully, with dynamics and full expressions not often found in youngsters who are relatively new to their instruments - She has tackled the instrument for only three years. Here is the shocking truth - she has NO fingers on her right hand.



If you thought playing piano was difficult, you should have no more excuses after watching this video.

Thank you for your referral of that handicapped pianist – she certainly does not let it hinder her love and performance of music. I am moved by it for sure. At the same time I also recall seeing a player (from China ) who has only his toes to perform on the piano and he does a decent job of it as well. Thank you for your message and I wish you every success in your piano instruction vocation and mission.

This puts me to shame. I had problem with tendinitis in my right thumb and I was afraid I was never going to be able to play the piano again. I can heal from tendinitis, but this girl is never going to grow back fingers on her right hand and yet she overcame her disability and learned to play the piano so beautifully. Amazing!

I am an adult who started taking lessons 2 years ago.Sometimes I get discouraged and feel like I am wasting my time.As I watched this video it brought tears to my eyes as I reflected on how the human spirit can overcome many obstackles as this beautiful young girl has. It certainly is an inspiration! Our creator Jehovah intended for us to have joy and it is a joy for me to play piano and to see encouraging experiences such as this one.

This handicapped pianist makes me feel as if I am the one who is handicapped. Its like I have too many fingers (in comparison to her) yet I Cant even play with such expression as she does. Thank you so much Yoke Wong. I am realy inspired to do more until I am at a greater level of Success in my music.

Nice playing. A good musical sense. Too bad the piano is terribly out of tune. If you where wondering how an out of tune piano sounds like, this is a very good example. Thanks for sharing

Have you ever heard that age old inspirational...“I cried because I had no shoes, and I then met a man who had no feet...?” I try to remain mindful of this every day as I struggle with my own maladies that attempt to take away my ability to play either the piano, the guitar, or even the drums, for that matter. This was a fantastic example of a natural gift God has given this young girl. She is showing the world that no matter what, we can overcome obstacles that would prevent us from doing things others take for granted. What a blessing this was! Thank you so much for sharing it. GOD is Majestic and never falls short of amazing , Thank you for sharing this wonderful video . This will make me hit the hurdles harder with more diligence . Sometimes we need motivation when we get stuck as I am right now but just wondering what hurdles she had to have in her life and overcame will inspire me further in my journey to master my playing .

I have seen this video before and I think it is wonderful. I have also seen one where the girl has four fingers in total and she plays wonderfully too. But I don't think these people should make you feel like it puts you to shame. Every good and perfect gift comes from above. God gave the gift. These girls accepted the gift and worked hard. I really enjoy the emails that are sent with the piano hints. That is where God has placed you and it is a wonderful gift, no need to feel shame.

After watching this I cried like I cried when I was watching my niece playing piano 15 years ago and thinking my little girl will not be able to play piano as she too was born with no fingers but on her left hand. My daughter has grown to a wonderful 16 year old who actually plays trumpet. I showed her this video and she was amazed by it. Anything is possible. Thank you.
