Using Music Theme to Create Spectacular Piano Playing

There are different ways to compose a piece. One common method is to use a theme. The theme can be a repetitive musical phrase or a series of chord progression.

The following video shows you two great classical repertoire - Toccata and Fugue in D minor by JS Bach and In The Hall of the Mountain King by Edward Grieg. You have mostly likely heard of these music during the fall season, specially during Halloween time. These two music are frequently featured in horror and suspense films as well.

So, what makes these two music stand out from the rest of classical music? How do you create spectacular piano music like these?

Hi Ms Wong that was an interesting lesson that I learn using the D minor chord , the octave D with the moody expression,how to improvise.at present I am getting used to the notes. On the stave you sent me, and trying to memorize them. Pamela.

Sometimes, the internet speed also affects the downloading of videos. I suggest, too, that when you start playing the video, pause it to buffer. When the buffer is done you can continue playing the video.
